Ever wondered why the fat loss tips you get from so-called diet experts is so different to the nutrition advice most of us get from our Moms?

If you’re anything at all like me, there’s a good chance you’ve been on a few diets in your time. And, just as likely your Mom was there before you, doing the exact same thing before finally learning there’s a way out, a better way of getting the results you want.

Are you ready to go beyond the temporary mindset of the diet and listen to the kind of nutrition advice that Moms everywhere are dishing out? You know, the kind of thing we all too often try to ignore when we’re kids- before trying to replace her advice with diet gurus as soon as we’re old enough to read Cosmo or fitness magazines!

Moms all over the country and around the world are dishing out great advice, more often than not they’ve been through the diet cycle too- but they’ve come out the other end with that knowledge of the basics, what works and doesn’t work.

Remember how your Mom got you to eat your vegetables, especially your greens- even though you weren’t too keen at the time? How she kept the sugar and other junk in check, without eliminating it totally.

Knowing that you need a treat from time to time is a valuable lesson, keeping the boredom of a diet at bay. Moms learn that balance is the key, even if they don’t think of themselves as fat loss experts.

Knowing that your body craves nutrient rich food is what makes your mom such a smart cookie. If you give your body the many things it desires to function, it will feel satisfied and you’ll be less likely to overeat. So, even if you didn’t understand it at the time, like me, you’ll know that Mom’s attempts to balance your nutrition are key to fat loss right now.

Just giving your body what it needs promotes fat loss as well as providing an environment within your body that promotes health, reducing the chance of disease too. Fail to give the body what it needs and you’ll be craving more and more food- which is no good for fat loss.

Is it any wonder then, that these diets focusing on one thing or one food group leave you bored and hungry? Eating the right kind of foods and combining it with a healthy lifestyle of effective exercise is the best way to lose fat and keep it off. Wouldn’t your Mom, the fat loss expert, agree?
